Career Guidelines

As a Banquet manager, I coordinate all aspects of professional meetings and events. I often choose meeting locations, arrange transportation, and coordinate other details. Also, event planner which required distinct personalities which tend to be enterprising individuals, which means they are adventurous, ambitious, self-confident, vociferous, active, passionate and optimistic. I was a dominant, persuasive, and motivational.

Whether it is a wedding, educational workshop and conference, or business convention, cooperate meetings and events or bring people together for a common purpose. Meeting, gathering, and event planning, I work to ensure that this purpose is achieved seamlessly. I coordinate every detail of events, from beginning to end. Before an event, for example, as a planner, I will meet with clients to estimate attendance and determine the event’s purpose. During the event, I handle event logistics, such as registering guests and setting up audio/visual equipment for speakers. After the gathering, I survey attendees to find out what interested them the most in the party.

 

Responsibility

An event planner I typically do the following:

  • Meet with clients to understand the purpose of the meeting or event
  • Plan the scope of the event, including time, location, program, and cost
  • Solicit bids from places and service providers (for example, florists or photographers)
  • Work with the client to choose a cost-effective venue to hold the event and whom to contract for services
  • Inspect place to ensure they meet the client’s requirements
  • Coordinate event services such as rooms, transportation, and foodservice
  • Confer with on-site staff to coordinate details
  • Monitor event activities to ensure the client and event attendees are satisfied
  • Review event bills and approve payment
